For over 20 years, Frank Niles has dedicated himself to understanding what it takes to succeed in the most adverse conditions.

A school dropout - teachers said he "wasn't smart enough to succeed" - Frank went on to become a Los Angeles County Paramedic, elite rock climber, internationally known researcher, and entrepreneur.  He is founder of Niles Performance Group, LLC, an executive coaching and communications firm.
Through his experiences and research, Frank has identified a core-group of strategies that successful people and companies use to create positive breakthroughs and reach new heights of performance and impact.

Frank is a trusted advisor to corporate executives, entrepreneurs, business professionals, and athletes - anyone who wants to reach optimal performance or turn a dream into reality. Through his speaking, writing, and coaching, Frank has made a positive difference in the lives of thousands of people throughout the United States and around the world.

Award Winning Researcher
Frank is the author of over 40 professional publications and is the principal or co-investigator of many large scale studies, including the first national study that investigates how people use social networks to make difficult decisions. He was recently invited to speak about his research at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Frank is the recipient of numerous research awards, including a National Science Foundation Grant (affiliate scholar).

Acclaimed Rock Climber and Adventurer
Over the past three decades, Frank has climbed or pioneered over 1,500 extreme routes throughout North America and around the world - from the sea cliffs of British Columbia to the jungle crags of Southern Thailand and the rain-forest mountains of Indonesia. Never content to follow others, Frank has logged over 100 first ascents.

Recognized for his accomplishments, Frank appears in numerous climbing publications, including Climbing magazine and Michael Reardon's Climb On! video series, and is the expert-author on advanced climbing techniques in Outdoor Adventures: Rock Climbing (Human Kinetics, 2009). Currently, Frank is
developing the next generation of hard routes in the Boston Mountains of Arkansas.  Described by Rock and Ice magazine as having "America’s best … climbing," the Boston Mountains is a new, global climbing destination. Each year, Frank spends three month on the road, climbing and creating new routes.

Frank has survived more close calls than he can remember. He's been shot at, stranded on an island, chased by water buffalo in Indonesia, had frostbite, and was nearly run over by an oceanliner while trying to "sail" from Washington to Alaska, in a dingy. Frank once delivered a baby in the back of a Volkswagan bus, but that's a story for another day.

Personal and Professional Success Strategist
When he's not hanging off cliffs or writing, Frank motivates and educates business professionals, entrepreneurs, sale teams, and students, to name a few. Using insights from science and his adventures, he teaches leaders and organizations how to create a vision of what's possible, and then make it happen.

Each year, Frank shares his insights with a wide range of groups, from Fortune 500 companies to industry associations, universities and small business groups. Audiences range in size from 50 to over 5,000. Speaking engagements have taken Frank throughout the United States and around the world including Germany, Indonesia, Mexico, and France.

Frank is regularly featured or quoted in the media, including CSPAN, National Public Radio, Climbing magazine, Life Source Radio and many domestic and international print publications. He writes about leadership and personal success for
The Huffington Post, as well as other publications.

Frank holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Houston (University Park) and  is founding partner of Scholar Executive Group, LLC, a boutique consulting firm that provides coaching, counseling, and leadership development training for Fortune 500 companies and influential people. Over the past 10 years, Frank has coached current and emerging leaders to greater levels of performance and personal satisfaction - from CEOs to entreprenurs, business professionals, students, and athletes. He is a professor at John Brown University.

A Recognized Leader
Frank has held numerous senior leadership positions in academic institutions and business. He is former elected chair and executive board member of the American Political Science Association (Section 31), the leading international trade association for professional political scientists. He created the first mentoring program for emerging researchers and launched the journal,
Politics and Religion (Cambridge Univ. Press). He sits on The Human Capital Executive Research Board for HCM Advisory Group, and Chief Learning Officer magazine's Business Intelligence Board. Frank is also Assistant Editor for the journal, Marriage and Family.

Frank is known of his Thai curries, and before realizing he needed to earn a living, performed stand-up comedy. Frank travels from northwest Arkansas where he lives with his wife (the main beneficiary of said curries) and daughter.
